DIY: Office Grillin’

Doesn’t it feel like the weather is always nicest when you’re inside the office working? Do you find yourself daydreaming about spending time outdoors? We get it. To help get you through the workweek, get your colleagues together for an indoor BBQ and some team bonding, inspired by summer. Here’s how to create your own Pinterest-worthy cookout!

Strawberry Lemonade Margarita

Serves 1
Bai Sao Paulo Strawberry Lemon Margarita

  • 2oz Tequila Silver
  • 1oz Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • ½ Bottle Bai Sao Paulo Strawberry Lemon
  • Juice from Half a Lemon
  • Strawberries
  • Ice

Slice and puree 4-5 strawberries and put mixture in cocktail shaker then add ice about half way. Add tequila, triple sec, juice from half a lemon and Bai Strawberry Lemon to cocktail shaker. Shake it, shake it, shake it like a polaroid picture. Pour over ice and garnish with a lemon wheel and strawberry.

Watermelon Grill & Fruit Kabobs

Fruit Kabobs

  • Large Watermelon
  • Blueberries or Blackberries
  • Assorted Fruit (we used Pineapple, watermelon, and blueberries)
  • Bamboo Skewers (long)
  • Melon Baller

Slice a small piece off of the bottom of the watermelon to create a flat surface to rest on (you can also use bamboo skewers to make a stand for your watermelon grill). Slice top of watermelon about 5 inches from the top and set top aside. Scoop out watermelon using melon baller and set aside. Drain excess juice (can save for later to add a splash of flavor to your water or cocktails). Pour about a cup or two of blueberries or blackberries into base of watermelon to represent charcoal.

Using bamboo skewers, carefully push them horizontally into the top of the watermelon. Place about an inch apart. This will be your grill top! If the skewer is still sticking out, you can use scissors to trim them down. Grab your watermelon lid and place it on the edge of watermelon base, hold there with bamboo skewers to form your grill lid. Use remaining fruit and skewers to make kabobs and place on top of your watermelon grill. Enjoy!

Now that you’ve got the “handmade” stuff done, turn this office grill time into a potluck and have your co-workers bring in their favorite dish! Everyone can bond over the foods they chose to brought in, not to mention your impeccable watermelon carving skills.
