I know it doesn’t feel like spring in some states, especially in NYC where there has been snow on the ground and sunny frozen faced days, but it is ( drum roll ) … SPRING ! Ancient Chinese medicine states that during the spring months, the body Qi is thrown off kilter, making you feel a bit moody and antsy. After the winter months, we’ve accumulated lots of empty containers, old magazines, and things you just can’t get rid of. Clutter itself does not allow you to have a clear head, and it has been proven in many studies that a clean room can lead to a clean mind!

Let’s start our SPRING ROUTINE with this..


  1. Ditch the sugar: With soda having 39 grams of sugar, and some flavored water having 14-25 grams of sugar, replace these with better options. Soda can be replaced with Bai Kohala Kola which has 0 grams of sugar!
  2. Reevaluate your snack situation: By throwing out leftover containers of food and dumping the cookies and the crap, you’ll be less likely to get off track. Have berries and veggies on tap to snack on. Pro tip? Keep bananas, apples, avocados, and strawberries on the counter since they are robbed of their nutrients in the fridge. Don’t cut them until you’re ready to eat!
  3. Clear your mind: Make time in the morning to wake up and start the day with a 2 minute meditation on your doorstep. Just stand there and soak it in. Feel the air, sense the community, give thanks to the universe for giving you another day! Head inside!
