Springtime Smoothies & Juices

You’ve successfully trudged through winter, for which you deserve to be rewarded. Time for you to treat yo’self… right. With springtime comes tons of nutrient-packed produce, able to help you with anything from sleepless nights to that change-of-the-season head cold. Here are some of the best ways to harness their power through a straw.

Smoothies

Nighttime Destresser
This smoothie might not have the prettiest color, but the lights are off so it doesn’t really matter, right? It minimizes stress and improves sleep by helping to repair brain cells, provide melatonin and regulate blood pressure. Make it a Sunday nightcap for a successful week ahead.
1T chia seeds
10 dark cherries
4 strawberries
½ oz extra dark chocolate
1 oz almonds
1 cup Maui Coconut Raspberry

Belly Dancer
Get your bikini body ready for a day in the sun with this concoction. Fibrous ingredients help to gently eliminate bloat, and potassium decreases water retention. Feel free to break out the finger cymbals.
1 medium plum
¼ avocado
1 frozen banana
1 cup raw spinach
½ cup Malawi Mango

Juices

If you don’t have a juicer, buzz these ingredients up in your blender and strain through a cheesecloth. Drink up ASAP for maximum nutrient retention.

Antioxidant Elixir
Blooming flowers and allergies go hand-in-hand, so springtime can do quite a number on your immune system. Eating an antioxidant-rich diet can help keep inflammation down. Add a splash of Congo Apple Pear at the end for added sweetness and antioxidant power.
2 handfuls arugula
1 cup blueberries
1-inch length of ginger
1 green apple
2 handfuls kale
Congo Apple Pear

Raspberry Mango Mocktail
Adding some fresh juice to green tea is the perfect way to unwind after a long day cooped up in the office. Who says you need booze to take the edge off? Puree or muddle fruit and pour over iced or hot tea. It’s great both ways!
½ mango
1 cup raspberries
Fresh-brewed green tea, chilled
